The 100 Mile Challenge...
Paul has set his mother a challenge - to cycle 100 miles!
A no small feat at all. So Miriam is in but Paul wants to know if any body else is up for the challenge? To find out more visit the facebook page here.
What has Paul’s mum had to say about the challenge?
“A little while ago I was chatting with Paul and proclaimed that there was no way I could ever ride 100 miles - I can't even tackle the slight hill outside our house at the moment!! He answered that that was nonsense - I just needed the right motivation. He gave as an example that if Marie needed my help and the only way I could get to her was to cycle 100 miles then I would get on my bike and do so ............ it got me thinking!!
I decided that I would indeed set myself a challenge to train enough that I feel confident enough to tackle a 100 mile cycle ride - with a few conditions - please, no hills!! I am not very fit at the moment and need to lose a few pounds so my reasons are not entirely altruistic - but as always we will also try to raise awareness for lupus along the way!!”
