Who is Dean Stanley?
Dean is one of Pauls closest friends - they first met at Huddersfiled University where Dean recieved a BSc in Human Biology. They have then worked together in a number of different varities including Property Development.
Dean currently lives in Heanor, Derby where he is still involved in property development.
He has travelled may areas of the globe including Spain, Hong Kong, Dubai, Tunisia, Turkey, Ibiza, Greece, the USA and Cananda.
Most recently Dean helped Paul in his cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats and was therefore the perfect person to help him on this latest challenge. Deans role during the attempt includes alot more that just following Paul in the van. He is responsible for the route, food and water, press activities, photographer, twitterer etc etc. To put it simply Dean really is the silent hero of this whole attempt - he may not have set the record himself but there is absolutely no way Paul could even have attempted the record with out Dean by his side!

Who is Matthew Spencer?
Matthew is Paul's youngest brother and they could not be more unalike. While Paul is cycling from one country to the next Matthew is most likely to be found at home updating Paul's website for him. That's not to say Matthew isn't also a competitive athlete, he is (well competitive at least) he just might not quite have the same sort of stamina as Paul.
Currently living in Clapham, London, Matthew manages to find time to design and then help promote his brothers adventures. All he asks for in return is to be at the finish line so they can celebrate in style!

Miriam is Paul’s mum.
She is currently living in Roswell, GA and enjoying the lifestyle, weather and people – though is always happy to travel ‘home’ to Sussex and meet up with friends and family. “It has been fun this year being part of Paul’s world record attempt and having the opportunity to work closely with Matthew and Marie as well as Paul. I particularly enjoyed my few days out on the road with Paul and Dean!!” Miriam even became a facebook fan in the process. She is now busy helping with Tour D’Afrique matters.

Paul’s dad, Jan, has had a very successful career with Kimberly Clark relocating from the UK to Roswell, in 2002. Although he has a very busy work schedule which involves a lot of travel he tries to find time to play golf on a regular basis. He especially enjoys a round of golf with Paul whether it be in the UK, the US or even Australia and the two of them are both very competitive! Jan is very proud of Paul’s achievements and Paul is very grateful for his dad’s financial support in 2010.

Using her Marketing skills she does her bit for Paul trying to promote his adventures, achievements and the causes he supports by designing marketing communications as well as most importantly generating support and standing proud at the finish line! Diagnosed with Lupus at the age of 13, Marie is the reason for Paul's previous support of the Lupus Foundation.
Currently living in Tooting, London, Marie definitely comes across as calmer than her brothers, but is no less enthusiastic, affectionately nicknamed 'Madam' by Paul, she often uses her angelic demeanour to her advantage :)
