IT STARTED WITH A DARE
“Nobody can ride a bike across England and Scotland in less than a week,” said a friend one day over beers. “I can,” said Paul Spencer.
This self-proclaimed ‘sucker for a challenge’ ride spurred Paul into a lifestyle, and launched him into one of the most interesting cycling careers of our time. True to his word, Paul rode from Land’s End to John O’ Groats in 4 days, silencing his doubters and making him 10 pounds richer at the end. What began as a trip to prove a point has turned into a lifelong journey to try as many different bikes as possible, cycle across all of the continents, and eventually pedal around the world.
Hailing from England and now a citizen of the United States, Paul has held 3 Guinness World Records and is continually pushing his own limits in races around the world.
“I’ve never said ‘I wish I could,’” says Spencer, “I just DO.”
When nobody is up to giving him a challenge,
he’s creating his own.
Paul is currently mapping out a once-in-a-lifetime adventure– to pedal around the world starting in 2021. As a life-long traveller, he sees this opportunity as dream he can achieve.
“Is that insane or just plain mad?”
Maybe it’s a little bit crazy (or mad) to the rest of the world. But for Paul, it’s simple.
“Out of the billions of people in the world, nobody has ever done this before, so why not?”
This is the ultimate adventure, and Paul is ready for anything.
